Dr. Siu Hong Dexter Wong, FIAAM
Dr. Wong is interested in exploring the dynamic interactions between cells and the surrounding microenvironments that can contribute to the regulation of intracellular signalings and remodel the physiochemical properties of the microenvironment. To study this small scale, he and his team had developed various biomimetic nanobiomaterials to facilitate the cell culture of interest and modulate the cascade of signaling pathways through mechanical and biochemical routes. To observe the cell response in real-time, Dr. Wong also developed optical technique-based nanoprobes for nucleic acid detection ex vivo, in vitro and in vivo. Moveover, his nanoprobes can be integrated with stimuli-responsive functionalities to achieve disease therapy such as cancers. He has published over 40 SCI journal papers including Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, Theranostics, Biosensors & Bioelectronics, Journal of American Chemical Society, Biomaterials, etc. Dr. Wong has been elected as the Taishan Scholar Young Expert Program (泰山学者青年专家) and Shandong Provincial Overseas Excellent Young Scholar (山东省优秀青年科学基金项目(海外)). He is the Associate Editor of Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology and editorial board member of Biomedical Engineering Communications. He was elected as the fellow and life-time member of International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). Dr. Wong has been the reviewer of many prestigious SCI journals such as Advanced Materials, Journal of Controlled release, Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Nano Letters, Clinical and Translational Medicine, etc. (>100 times peer-review, Web of Science ResearcherID: AAT-9831-2021). He is also a member of Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), American Chemical Society (ACS), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) and Tissue Engineering International & Regenerative Medicine Society (TERMIS).

Dr. Bohan Yin, MRSC
Dr. Yin is interested in investigating the mechanism and biomedical applications of nano-bio interactions from cellular level, tissue level to organ level, especially Pulmonary Diseases (PD). She has been an expert in developing metal-based nanoparticles modified with polymers for biotracking, biosensing and drug delivery. She is particularly interested in studying the effect of nanosize aerosol of various chemistries on pulmonary response and disease progression. In recent years, she has developed multiple biosensors based on SERS for ultrasensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 during the pandemic time for screening the potential viral source. She also demonstrated that SERS imaging can be a good technique for tumor diagnosis and therapy. She has published over 20 SCI journal papers as first/corresponding authors, including Science Advances, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, Small, Theranostics, Biosensors & Bioelectronics, etc. Dr. Yin has been elected as the Taishan Scholar Young Expert Program (泰山学者青年专家) and Shandong Provincial Overseas Excellent Young Scholar (山东省优秀青年科学基金项目(海外)).
